The Sole S73 has a larger running surface than most other treadmills adding extra safety for those who have a tendency to sway while running and with the longer deck size even those with long legs will fit comfortably. The deck is also cushioned and can be set by the user to make it one of the most comfortable treadmills available.
Speaking of comfort, the Sole S73 Treadmill console has built in speakers for your iPod or Mp3 player and cooling fans.
The information that is displayed on the console are the type of stats that are important to all of us as we workout. On the console you can view your current speed, the incline that your treadmill is at, the amount of time that has taken place during your session, the distance you have traveled, approximately how many calories you have burned during your session, your pulse rate and your pace. There is also a 1/4 mile track feature that helps with motivation and a Peak and Valley graph that is available for different programs which shows you your incline visually.

Speed: 0.5 to 12 mph. While 12 MPH may not appear to be a fairly quick pace it works out to be a 5 minute mile and that is an intermediate to advanced pace.
Incline: 15% maximum. By adjusting the incline you can increase the difficulty of your workout in addition to targeting different muscles.

Running Surface is a nice wide and long at 20 inches X 60 inches. This is the actual running surface, not just the deck size. Many treadmills may show their deck size in the specifications but do not tell you the actual running surface which may be several inches narrower and shorter.
When comparing running surfaces, be sure you are comparing surface to surface and not surface to deck .
