ProForm Treadmills for 2011

Although ProForm also carries elliptical trainers, exercise bikes and more, what has impressed me about ProForm is their line of treadmills for 2011.

While incorporating the latest technology, adding and improving features all while keeping the prices affordable, ProForm has a knockout of a treadmill line for 2011.

ProForm treadmills for 2011
ProForm has added several new treadmills for 2011 and they have also brought back a few of their most popular models.

What is nice to see is that ProForm treadmills are sorted into categories, such as Trailrunner, Performance, Power, Tech series and so forth.  This allow you to quickly see the type of treadmill that fits into your lifestyle and your personal fitness goals. As of this writing their are 14 different ProForm treadmill models to choose from and this number will change as ProForm adds to and discontinues some models.

Once you find the series that most appeals to you, you can compare models in that particular series. This makes it much easier to drill down and find the treadmill that is perfectly suited for you and your family. Some models have 15 workouts, while others may have 30 or more so the comparison feature is especially convenient.

In addition to being about the read that stats and information quickly and easily, ProForm also shows you upfront the star ratings that the model has received from it’s customers along with how many reviews the treadmill has received.

I like being able to read reviews from actual customers since they not just tell it like it is, but if for any reason they were dissatisfied  or were over satisfied you can read exactly why. They may love or not love a feature that might not affect your decision, so by seeing more than just the star rating you get a bit more insight into the rating itself.

ProForm also has “Compare item” check box which allows you to check off several models and see side by the stats all viewable by a simple glance.

Right on the ProForm site there is a Treadmill Buying guide which gives you a rundown of the different parts of the treadmill and how different sizes or types of  materials makes a difference in the user experience.

A new addition, and one that I particularly like is the video demos of many of the treadmills.  With video you will be able to see the size in comparison to the user, you can see specific areas highlighted and explained. It’s like having a demo expert right next to you without putting any pressure on you. You can watch again and again while not feeling like you are holding a salesperson back from helping someone else.

With this nice website format, ProForm lets you spend less time searching for what you need and more time getting to know their treadmill models and their reputation.  Another helpful feature is having the model number right next to the item. Many time a model may get upgraded yet carries the same name and it might be confusing if you see such and such model on sale on one page of a site and will state in stock, while on another page you will see a product with the same name but in stock.

If you look at the model numbers itself you will notice that it’s often an older version of the model which may be sold out and the newer model in stock. This makes things a bit less confusing.

Now that we have talked a bit about the ProForm website and how it is set up, you’ll be able to notice the newest models in the line and how many of them use the latest technology such as iFit Live. ( If you have not checked out iFit Live and you are not familiar with it, before you look at any treadmills, take a look at what iFit Live can do for your motivation and the quality of your workouts.

With iFit Live you basically have a limitless workouts available, you receive motivation, you can track and monitor your progress and so much more. With some models iFit Live is not available and with others iFit Live may already be built in while with others it may be available but for an additional charge.  It’s one of the features that ProForm truly excels in.

You will also notice that several of the 2011 models now have inclines to 20% which is higher than previous versions.
